Bruno Mars - Talking To The Moon
Another Bruno Mars song I found while listening to 'Dancing in the Mirror'.
This song is so beautiful, full of soul and the music itself is great with his voice, especially in the chorus. The lyrics are so haunting and can be sad, depending on the context you take it in.
Absolutely love it. I don't think Bruno Mars can do any wrong.
Enjoy! xx
No Ifs, No Buts, No Education Cuts
Well David Cameron, are you listening?
Nick Clegg, don't think your off scot free, you backed out on a pledge against rises in University education fees. You lied to to your supporters who hoped for compromise, you let them down in the worst way possible. Some of these supporters are parents who want their children to have an affordable and worthwhile higher education - too expensive and the exerience is no longer worthwhile.
Forget losing sleep over your own financial problems, it will soon be over your own child who is starting life as an independent adult admidst the stress of finding work that will pay back the loans and also pay the bills for their new life.
What you don't understand Mr Cameron andMiss Mr Clegg is that education shouldn't come at a price as extortionate as that, we human beings have a right to a higher education should we want it, we choose to remain in education for 3 years to learn and gain more knowledge and the skills for expertise in our fields of specialities. Without this we cannot get jobs and build careers which make us happy and earn a respectable living.
It is clearly a case of forgetting about the people and looking out for your own backs it seems. The rich getting richer and getting a education they may not deserve or want and the poor getting poorer missing out on vital experiences and services to get them a degree when they have worked so hard to gain grades they need, but miss out purely because they don't have the money to go further and hone their academic talents.
To be honest guys you haven't really thought it through have you? Job cuts, higher taxes; raising the tuition fees isn't balancing the problem out. There is some level of idiocy involved if you think you can cut the number of jobs (which pay people funnily enough) and then raising the cost of things. For money to go in, it has to come out.
So here I speak for my generation and younger friends who now have an uncertain future and also for the parents of young children like my 10 and 6 year old cousins who now have the strain of saving money to let their children make something of themselves and also the risk of further rises in tuition fees.
Well, if your willing to raise it now then there is every chance you could do it in a few further years isn't there? You are typical politicians, we know when you're lying because your mouths move.

R.I.P. Adil
I found out this morning that the guy stabbed outside school died this morning. I nearly cried hearing the news but I continued on with the day in shock - it didn't seem real.
I got a phone call at 4:00pm from a friend asking if I wanted a lift up to the village to the place where it happened. A memorial had been organised for him. We turned up and there were quite a few people there already, it was so beautiful; flowers, candles and pictures were laid, everyone surrounded the shrine many crying, holding friends. One of Adil's closest friends said a few words and a couple of jokes which many of us smile, he treated the situation so well when he must have been hurting so much inside.
We had a moment of closing our eyes and thinking of Adil then a moment of clapping for him to celebrate his life. Two floating lanterns were lit and sent off into the sky which everyone watched with tears in their eyes. I thought I wouldn't cry, but with the atmosphere and having my own memories of Adil, my eyes overflowed. I would've love to have known him better but sadly I never will.
I know naming him may give away my anonymity, but Adil isn't a nameless statistic - he was a real person who was happy, funny, just an amazing person, he never really had a bad word to say about anyone and no one had a bad thing to say about him. What happened was a great injustice, I hope the bastards responsible rot in jail for what they did. Big love goes to his friends who tried to protect him when it happened and also to Nish, Adil's girlfriend - she has the support of everyone in 6th Form and her friends.
Adil, you will be sorely missed by anyone and everyone who knew you, I will miss your smile and laugh and seeing you and Nish around town together, looking so happy. You be gone in body, but you are always with us in our hearts and memories.

Surreal Day
It's strange how you think you'll act in a situation but you then act completely differently. It's also strange how you can see a situation from a long distance and then realise how shocking it is when it gets closer.
Yesterday a boy in the year below me was stabbed outside school. I didn't know him personally, but I've known his girlfriend since she was little. Though I haven't spoken to her much recently I really felt for her. The worry and despair she must be feeling is unimaginable. Last time I heard he was in a stable condition at hospital, which is the best thing you could hope for in a situation like this.
The school was completely shut down, no one was allowed in or out and after school no one could leave by themselves. People walking home needed an adult escort to walk them home, everyone else needed to picked up by an adult and driven home. Because I was going out with some friends later this evening, we waited at the gates for Skinny J's mum who let us go sit in the car and wait for her sister who is in lower school. On our way to the car we were stopped by two press men who asked if we were in the 6th Form. Immediately we responded 'No' as we'd been asked to by the school and headed for the car.
Looking back on this now I realise how such a surreal day this has been. Raising money and having a great day in support of Children in Need, a nationally happy day, then something as grim as this happens.
It absolutely puzzles me as to how someone can stab somebody with little thought to whether that person lives or not, how you can end a life so mindlessly. That could've happened, luckily it hasn't.
Funny how you see stuff like this in the press nearly everyday, to the point it just washes over you and then it happens so close by. Just stunning to the mind.
With any justice these mindless thugs will be dealt with properly. Hope the guy recovers soon and his girfriend fights through this difficult time.

Bruno Mars - Dancing In The Mirror [NEW MUSIC 2010]
So I've found the spare moment, and here is the Bruno Mars song 'Dancing in the Mirror'. Found this by accident but so glad I did!
It's got a hot beat to it, very Latin and just makes me wanna grab the next guy I see and just start a sexy dance!
Trust me, you will melt listening to his voice combined with the beat - B, E, A, UTIFUL!!!

NOOO!!!
There is some crazy shit happening with my laptop at the moment. In a nutshell as to what's wrong with it, I have to use Safe Mode with Networking to use the interne, it's a crappy layout of the web - kinda like how it was in the 90s - and I can't watch videos or listen to music.
As sad as this sounds I'm quite upset by it.
Music is very much a part of my life so I'm youtube at some point at least once a day, whether a I have an hour to myself with nothing to do, or I'm getting changed before any evening classes or, the most important time of all, before I go to bed.
It's pretty much the only thing that soothes me before I catch my Z's. I'll listen to anything depending what mood I'm in; Latin music like salsa and tango, acoustic versions of songs, club music or the songs that summed up Turkey, bringing back lush memories to fall asleep with.
Actually, while I'm here I'll recommend a song to listen to - 'Bruno Mars, Dancing in the Mirror. It's the hottest thing I've ever heard from him and any girls who already love him will fall harder now!
I'll try and link to tomorrow if I have a free moment in 6th Form tomorrow. But do check it out if you can.

Bad News for the X Factor
You just lost one of you're best talents on the show!
Sadly in Sunday nights results show, Aiden was in the singoff with KatieWeasel sorry, Waissel. It got to the judge's vote. Simon voted for Katie to stay, as did Cheryl and Danni and Louis voted for Aiden to stay. It got down to the public vote and it was a massive shock:
Aiden had the least votes. And was now out of the competition.
Me and my mum were watching and thought it didn't make sense that someone who had never been in the bottom two and seemed comfortably safe every week was suddenly unpopular. The postioning didn't match the judge's comments either after the performance.
Well it was sad to see him go but maybe things will be better not being associated with the X Factor anymore. Since that result show there has been so much controversy and rumours and reports going on about the show. I'll be missing this Saturday's show because of 'm at a party but hey, I'll have more fun there than watching the talented people struggle against the drama queens.
Best of luck to Aiden Grimshaw for his future. Don't let the talent go to waste :)

Aiden Grimshaw sings Nothing Compares 2 U - The X Factor Live show 5 - i...
Aiden Update: He's getting so much better!
I missed last week's X Factor but from what I heard he sang a slower 'Thriller'. Sounds ok actually. So stuck at home with back spasms I saw this week's with the theme 'American Anthems'.
Again this was an amazing performance vocally and thought there was a hint of John Mayer in it. Seriously hope he makes it to the final.
Enjoy! xx
Winter is most definately here
Well the indicator to the seasons has confirmed it is now Winter - as has the sudden drop in temperature.
This indicator? It's a tree outside my house. This tree is pretty tall so I can easily see it sat in the living room or in my bedroom. It matches what the seasons are doing perfectly so I know when to wrap up or lose the layers.
It's gotten to the point of having lost most of it the leaves. The few clinging on won't be there for much longer. It looks horribly skeletal and grey. Winter's quite ugly at times isn't it?

Just too obsessive
So I was on Facebook - as you do- just having a nose around checking out a firend's holiday pics. Skinny J had spent about 2 weeks in Florida with her family and had done most things you do in the Sunshine State; go to Disney World, Universal Studios and Seaworld. Her parents renewed their vows on a boat out there too so there were some gorgeous pics of that.
Next to all the pictures though, was a little window that said something along the lines of 'Photo Memories - LK was tagged in SS' album 'Turkey 2010'' I know LK really well from the first holiday and we got on well again from this year's holiday so he's a bit like an older brother to me. Now I'm pretty nosy and love looking at other people's holiday photos so I clicked on it to check it out.
Well I wasn't expecting photoshopped pictures of the sunset with stuff like 'Seni Seviyorum <3 xxxxxxxxx' The kisses went on for a while so I've shortened it here. But she'd tagged all the guys from the bar too including LK. There many more pictures that were similar, including pictures of her with some of the guys.
Hmmm it looks just a tad clingy and crazy. Curious to know who this mad girl is, I looked at her profile and found out she's 14 or something. Craazy girl who seems quite innocent to me.
I thought I missed Turkey til I saw all that, clearly not that much. But then again I have 5 other people to share the memories with, plus some excellent photos and I keep in touch where I can.
Then again I guess everyone has their different ways of whiling the time until next summer.

Mehh
I really hate Autumn/Winter. Just for the miserable rain and crap weather and freezing cold - doesn't suit me at all.
So depressing too because the clocks have gone back, it was good for an extra hour of sleep but it's getting dark at 5:00pm now. It seems now daylight won't be seen until March now. Duude it sucks!
Another bummer at the moment is the lack of job that I desperately need. I can't fund a holiday with someone or not if I'm not raking in the pennies. Why the hell is it so difficult to find a part time weekend job? There must be loads of people who work during the week who want the weekend off!
Well there's not a lot I can do about it at the moment but keep looking and handing CV's in.
Hmm I really want some chocolate or muffin or something.

Fraya's 18th
Hmm I lied when I said 'Another post for tomorrow'. It's been two days but I have the excuse of being busy.
So yes. Fraya's 18th birthday party. The day before Halloween so the theme was fancy dress and I went as the caped crusader Zorro. I wore mid calf length harem trousers, a gorgeous sheer gypsy style blouse with killer heels. Added of course was the trademark eye-mask and hat. Safe to say I was smokin.
So I turned up with Fran the Flapper Girl and we took two glasses of champagne and headed over to the girls table where we had a Bond Girl, two zombies from the Resident Evil game, a sexy pirate and Snow White. There were various tables for different groups of friends and we managed to fit 7 of us onto a 6 seater. We checked out everyone around us and I pointed out Freya's closer friends to them. They asked about B, the love of Fraya's life who happens to like me. I hadn't seen him yet and said if I did they'd know about it - I'll be hiding under the table with a bottle of wine.
There was hog roast which was pretty yum and then some mini desserts, so I had a few. Trust me, with the amount of dancing I did later I didn't need to worry about calories! Two bottles of wine were provided for each table so we picked a gorgeous rose. One bottle was enough for all 7 of us to get a glass each. Not enough I think.
I had a chat with Fraya a little later on and she was annoyed that B hadn't shown up yet. Her closer friends tried calling him but were getting no answers. Knowing that he would probably do anything for me, I got his number and texted him asking where he was. I got a reply which made me feel awkward because he's only met me once and replied straight away but ignored his closest friends. Hm. He had a poor excuse which resulted in us calling him a dickhead (I have no problem saying that because I have no mutual feelings for him)
Despite the small unhappiness of Fraya, we cheered her up by dancing to good music and drinking lots of alcohol for the next three hours. At the end of the night me and Fran went home and we slept on the sofas in the living room.
As usual I didn't wake up with a hangover :D
